Ranks Cherubim Genesis 3:24; After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. In appearance their form was that of a man, 6but each of them had four faces and four wings. 7Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. 8Under their wings on their four sides they had the hands of a man. And Eli's two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God. Protect From Physical Harm Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. Exodus 14:19 Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel's army, withdrew and went behind them. Since the Father does the sending, it has to be either the Holy Spirit or the Son Psalm 33:9; For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. An Angel of the Lord or The Angel of the Lord 2 Kings 19:35 That night the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning--there were all the dead bodies! 2 Chronicles 32:21 And the LORD sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the leaders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons cut him down with the sword. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? 2The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” 4“You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5“For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. 2 Corinthians 2:11 order that Satan might not outwit us.
